Image Bank - Line

Internet Images

I chose the picture above because I think it shows the concept of "Lines" very clearly. Although it is slightly obvious that the photo is of a road, we are still able to conclude that the image is meant to represent the lines of the road paint. In addition to this, we are also able to see the cracks in the road paint, which adds even more definition to the photo, because they're lines as well.

In this photo we are able to see wood that has been structured together so half of it appears white/grey, whereas the other half is black. There is a clear line which separates the two. I chose this photo because every part, has a different line. We are able to see the lines which separate the planks of wood themselves, but also the lines within the wood. As well as this, we are able to see the outlines of the wood.

I selected this image above because the aspect of "Lines" is not only displayed through the object itself (the fence) but also within it's shadow. We are able to see, both diagonal and straight lines throughout this image. There are also lines which separate each individual brick on the wall. This photo has captured lines in different forms, realistically and through it's own silhouette.

The photograph above has been taken at an angle, which disallows us from figuring out what the image is actually of. This photo definitely represents "Lines" because that's literally all that we can see. There are lines that make up squares, which make the pattern of the photo. Also, there are much thicker lines within the foreground of the image.

I chose this image because I've taken a similar photo to display lines. Here, we are able to see the steps of a staircase. This represents lines because we are able to see each individual step as a line, as well as the lines that show the individual bricks of the steps. The tops of the steps appear much brighter than their side because the sunlight is directly shining upon it.

This image is of many different lines, made out of many different colours. Each line shown has a different colour. Although the lines are straight and narrow, so very basic, the image is still interesting because of how bright the colours are. This photo is extremely simple, but effective because of the vibrancy of each line.
