Image Bank - Colour

Internet Images

I selected the image above because it displays an array of colours, but they are all mixed into one, so some have merged together into another colour. Although we are able to see the individual main colours (i.e. red, yellow, green, blue). We are still able to see other colours that have been made (i.e. purple, orange, black).

In this photo we are able to see so many variations of colours and shades of colour. The coloured lights are extremely vivid and bright. The lights also seem to look much more spread out nearer the camera than they are further away, so we are able to see the differentiation of colour up close as well, despite it being blurred.

Although the photograph above doesn't have an incredibly large colour pallet, I decided to use it because we are still able to see two main colours that emphasize each other. The red makes the green stand out, and vice verse. We are able to see that the image is of red flowers, with green stems along with green grass. The colours are so vibrant and striking in this photo, that they contrast with each other.

The reason for my choosing of this photo was because of the variety of colour shades. There isn't just one of each colour on the building, instead there are many shades of each colour, such as light orange, dark orange, yellow, red etc. The building is like a mixed up rainbow, as there are so many different shades of colours in each window. This image isn't as bright as the others, but it is just as colourful.

The colours of each house aren't exactly bright, but they stand out because of the selective colour within the image. Everything is black and white apart from the houses themselves, therefore the colour is emphasised. I chose this image because of the selective colour, but also because there are many different colours displayed, some are lighter and some are darker, therefore different tones of colour is also shown.

Lastly, I chose this image because it shows all three of the primary colours - red, yellow and blue, as well as other forms and shades of them (orange, light blue). Again, this image isn't so bright but it is still colourful. I like that the photo is completely covered with the colourful umbrellas, so that there isn't anything else in the photo apart from the sky-blue background.
